Just wanted to share the excitement with a few series owners. I recieved my hoop set and soft top from Thatched Roof. excellent service and delivery time. I also recieved my Rocky Mountain parabolics. It only took about a week for delivery. Not bad since they came from Canada and I live in Florida. I'll post some pics when the rebuild is done. It should be done around mid-August. Rico |

The parabolics are great. I just installed a set of two leaf front/rear on my SIII SWB. The off-road ride is greatly improved while the on-road is better, but not to the same degree as off. I put mine on in a weekend by myself (about 15 hours total.) Also, I gained about 2" average lift all around from the shocks and springs. Here are a few hints I'll pass along to make the install easier in my opinion: 1. Use an angle grinder on the old u-bolts don't even bother with them. 2. Two floor jacks would have made holding the axle level easier than the one I was using. 3. Use a very long handled socket wrench (or a tube slipped over a regular socket wrench) to break loose the rusty stuff. 4. WD-40 or PB Blaster. 5. WD-40 or PB Blaster. Hint #6 is to use anti-sieze on the bolts you put back on..... ;-) #7 is to check the torque on your u-bolts regularly. Jeff |

Thanks for the helpful hints. After fighting with the old bolts, the anti-sieze is a must. Evarything is starting to come together. Seminole Rovers is doing alot of the technical machanical work an helping me with the stuff I'm doing. He just rebuilt the •••••• and the engine. The head just came back from the machine shop so we will hopefully get all that put back in this weakend. We will be done by the end of Aug so I can drive it for a month befor heading to the MAR. I'll keep you posted. Rico |

The shop that its at isn't the most organized. I've done alot more of the work due to the fact that he isn't doing his part. Today we set the engine on the frame and he said he is putting the t-r-ans-m-i-ssion on it tomorrow. Tuesday I am going to try to finish sanding the body so we can sray it. The guy that helped rebuild the engine did a great job. It looks new. I'll post some pictures as soon as its worth posting. Thanks Rico |

Cool, thanks... Looking at pics of others' trucks is very inspirational. Hopefully soon, I will also provide some inspiration. Although honestly, my resto will be a slow one. Javier |

Javier, It's almost done! I had to tow it home from the shop that it was at. I finished the painting and was able to put together the back half of the body. The only thing left are the fenders and hood. It should be done by the end of next week. I need to call David Gage for a few parts today. I'll post the pictures of the restoration and final product ASAP. Rico |

It's a pale yellow, as requested by the Mrs., with the sand soft top. The yellow looks great! I just got home from putting the fenders on. I hopeing to have it running on Sunday if all goes well and the parts come in. I'll keep you posted. Rico |
