I installed a cd changer that I purchased from a very reputable dealer on eBay in my 97 Discovery today. I can see the red light iluminated in the unit, but the cd cassette will not eject, and "cd" does not appear as an option when I press the "band" button on the radio.

I was feeling very manly, having disassembled the seat and all, but after calling the local dealer and having them tell me that it sounds as if my "unit is defective", I am at a loss.

Please tell me that my unit is not defective, and that there is a simple solution to this problem!!!!

Thanks,
Dave

Dave,

If you post this on the "Discovery-Tech" page, you'll get a lot more responses, given that old Series Land Rovers never came with radios....

:)

FWIW, there are several broken CD-changers floating around on Ebay, being resold to other people.... Sorry.....
