What's the diference between Snap-on's flank drive, and flank drive plus wrenches?

I'm not the snap-on expert but since nobody has answered, I'll take a very basic shot. Be forwarned that I might not be accurate.

I THINK that the FD+ has the teeth inside the wrench face for extra griping where the FD does not. If you are doing work where it matters, the FD+ MAY put marks from gripping on the fastener. It would depend on how much torque you were using of course.

"Flank Drive Plus" applies only wrenches, and then only to some wrenches:

"Flank Drive Plus" pertains only to open-ended wrenches:

"Flank Drive Plus" never pertains to sockets or box-ended wrenches or box ends on combination wrenches. "Flank Drive" pertains to things like sockets,:

box-end wrenches,:

or the box end on combination wrenches, etc.:

For example, Snap-on makes "Flank Drive" combination wrenches, with the Flank Drive profile on the box end, and parallel jaws on the open end. This is a "Flank Drive" wrench because the box end has the Flank Drive profile. However, the parallel jaws on the open end will tend to spread under load and drive the fastener on the points rather than the flats. Such a wrench is not a "Flank Drive Plus" beause of the parallel jaws on the open end. Any time the open end on a wrench has parallel jaws, it is not a "Flank Drive Plus".

A Flank Drive Plus open end is not parallel, but rather features various grooves, raised portions, and serrations:

The serrations grab the fastener and prevent slip (which is very common on open-ended wrenches), while the grooves and raised portions drive the fastener on the flats rather than the points. The Flank Drive Plus jaws also fit the fastener tightly and there is no problem using a Flank Drive Plus in tight spots. This is a serious wrench.

Put the "plus" in your open-ended wrenching with Snap-on's Flank Drive Plus system.

I was waiting for John's 50 cents. I knew there was more to the explanation than I could possibly give.
