Is there such a tool? One of the biggest pains in any job I do (on any car) is pulling stuck hoses off fixtures and connectors (and scraping the skin off my hands while doing so). From big ones (like radiator hoses) to fuel lines and breather tubes. Is there some kind of plier that can help out? Something that will grip on one tube and pull on another?

The only thing that came up on the web was

http://www.handsontools.com/store/show_product/?product_id=5502975

It looks like what I am looking for, but (at $140) I'd like some opinions if anyone's used these or something similar?

Thanks

Dean

Snap on makes a kit of hose picks that may help. They come in different configurations for breaking the seal between the hose and pipe and also for pulling the hose off. I haven't personally bought it, but have used similar picks and they work very well. I haven't had any experience with the plier kit, but most of the time if you can access the hose with a set of pliers then its not to difficult to get off anyway.

I have successfully removed stuck hoses by using a high power hair dryer to heat the area around the connection, and pulling it off. Works great on radiator hoses or vacuum lines, BUT don't do this around the fuel lines!!!
