when i drive with the back window open up a hill i seem to get a burning smell coming in the window - its bad enough that i MUST close the window - any ideas?

To be honest, there is a warning in the manual that states not to drive with the back window down. As you are driving, a vacuum is created behind you and it causes the exhaust fumes to be drawn in through the back window. If you have to drive with the back window down, make sure you have as many windows open as possible, and your climate control on vent and on full fan speed.

I had an older Wagoneer with the roll-down rear window, and you couldn't put the window in the tailgate down on it and drive around, or you'd fall over choking on the exhaust that it'd suck back in on ya....

If you want it open in back, swap for a 3-door soft-top Freebie...
