Lost my battery and have not been able to make the RR take the code to restart the stereo. I turned the inignition on for 1.5 hrs. and entered code & nothing.????? Also,AC works for apox .5 hrs. then either nothing or the heat comes on. Any ideas??? Much Appreciated.

Barbie On the latest, most electrically complex cars, battery failure can require you to have to have the computers reset. The A/C system may have to be reset thru some procedure that you can't do at home. Randall |

Battery failure shouln't cause any problems unless you reconnect the battery when the ignition key is in, in which case you will get an SRS fault (or so I'm told). The A/C problem sounds like either the compressor clutch or lack of gas. Do you get the "book" symbol on the aircon display?

If you make several errors putting in the radio code in the P38A (at least on my '95 model), then you can take the specified radio off period before you can retry with a grain of salt. It takes many hours to reset. Ask me how I know!
