Hey guys, I have been trying to fix this one dam problem since I bought this beast and can't seem to make it go away. Whether it's hot or cold 9 out of 10 times it takes a good 8 seconds and some gas peddle to get her started. Once she starts she grumbles a bit them smoothes out. She runs fine otherwise. She sat for 2 weeks at the body shop and she started right away when I picked her up. This morning she sat over night and was a bitch to get going... Ideas? |

have someone spray a shot of starter fluid into the air intake on your first try on a cold day. see if it starts right up. could be a number of things but mine ALWAYS took 2 or three cranks until i got a new fuel pump. this was proven by "helping" the engine get fuel in the form of starter fluid. rd |

Thanks Rob, I will try that. I already replaced the fuel pump but it was with the Cadillac one... Think that could be it? |

Jason, I replaced my fuel pump with the Caddy one but went back to the LR one cause it started to fail (2 years later). How's the fuel filter? Just a thought. John |

Jason Been having the same problem with my 94 Disco, the problem is most likely your injectors. See a detailed discussion in Hard Start in the morning in the Disco Tech section. Seth |

Found one more thing to consider, the T piece in the emmisions hose from the valve cover to the intake was clogged with carbon, cleaning it out helped alot. Seth |
