Im looking at purchasing a 95 Range Rover (newer body) with 60k miles for $9,500.00 (all Records). Or a 95 Range Rover (also new body) with 33,000 miles for $14,000.00. Do you think the extra money is worth the 30k miles. Both Cars are flawless. I need some honest opinions!!!!!!

Get the one with more miles and keep the money you saved for future repairs, you will need it. If it was maintained well, the one with 60k miles maybe alot better than one with 30k neglected miles. The key to these vehicles is proper maintanence, but be aware that there are alot of things that can and do go wrong with a P38 RR especially one that is getting to be 8 to 9 years old. Set aside repair money and if you can do the work yourself, you will save a bunch of money.

IS there any place I could go to buy a warranty for this thing. I hear alot of people talking about the pains they've experienced with their trucks, but not many people opt for the warranty. If I'm guaranteed to come out of poket some big $$$$, wouldn't it make sense to purchase a warranty, if they're avaialble?

Warranty's for Rovers are not cheap. Check this site out for some info:

Not cheap but well worth it. I spent about $1700 for mine, and have received more than double that in covered repairs.

The 33k Rover was perfect. It looked/Drove perfect. Do you all think 14k is reasonable for a 95 in such great shape? I know discovery but not rangies that well.
I will have a mechanic look at the truck, but he is not a Land Rover tech. Are there any things I should pay particular attention to that are specific to range rover. Again, this is a 95 RR 4.0 with 33k miles. It Honestly operates perfectly. One more question. Should I be more woried about the year or Miles?

Hopefully someone will be able to reply to the board soon. I'm going 12/15 to to meet the tech to have him check the vehicle out before I purchase. I am a little nervous hearing all the horror stories. I would assume a 95 4.0 with 33k miles is a rare fine, but who knows. I've been looking hard and haven't found one yet. I checked car fax and everything looked fine. Thanks alot in advance for any input!!!!!! I'll let you all know how it turns out

If you want to educate your self about this model see Andy's page above and this one that Alan posted. www.rangerovers.net John who created this page is a civil engineer, if I remember correctly, and his page is one of the best in understanding this model Range Rover. It easy to navigate and he has a section devoted to problems which arise as we all put the miles on our P38's.
