Just want to confirm that the static timing set, when installing a distributor, should be set to 6 degrees BTDC. This is for an 89 RRC. Thanks, Michael

It is 5 degrees +-1 BTDC for my '93 which was different from other years as I recall in the manual. Don't have the manual with me now - sorry. In any case it is also under the hood on a sticker somewhere. I believe 8 degrees BTDC was for the 3.5 only so you're probably about right. |
