Has anyone installed new Lift/Hold tabs on the rear lower tailgate? Mine were broken and had fairly sharp edges. I decided to get the replacement part, however I did not check first how they were installed. It appears that the piece that needs removing is rivetted in place. Thanks, Michael |

I have much the same problem, however a word of caution. If your tailgate top looks at all like mine there is a fair share of rust under that long containing strip. Be cautious when removing it if the hardware is rusty then you could end up with more of a problem than you started with. Good luck! |
