I have an 88 RR 3.5 There is no ram-air coming through any of the dash vents. No heat eitherm even when the lever is moved all the way into the red. Only when the AC is engaged does the system "kick in" and blow cold. My fist guess was that the vents were blocked, but since the AC works I'm wondering if it could be the thermostat as some have suggested. Anyone encounter this problem? |

no this is working properly the vents in the dash only blow air from outside, this air can be cooled with the air conditioning unit. heat will only come out on the wind shield and at the feat. if you put the dash vent on recirulate it will draw from the warm air in the truck and blow luke warm air out of the dash vents. but it often results in the windows fogging. you are Shit out of luck if you want heat to blow out of the dash vents. i talked about this issue in an old post that can be found below: ../17/11153.html> |

I have an 88RRC and get air through the upper vents (not a large amount) with either hot or cold, but only when fan is turned on. Hot does not come out of the uppers, only the lower. I believe that there are two seperate fan motors, one for vent/heat and the other for a/c. I notice different air flow between the two. I have been fighting to get my a/c running for quite a long time. There seems to be different part numbers for the a/c thermostat and nothing has worked yet. |

Have a 91 and no heat either, the heat and a/c are compleetly seperate systems both with their own ducts and seperate blowers. The heater blower is buried in the dash and a bitch to replace. |
