Hi, 88 RRC with a leaky sunroof. I am guessing that it is the seal. I have seen these priced at $159 each and there are apparently two. Any help on a cheaper source. Is the seal really anything special. Could it be fabricated from stripping available from jcwhitney or similar supplier. Has anybody tried to mount an alternative sunroof - maybe the newer glass style - just a thought. Any help appreciated Thanks P.S. I already carry an umbrella so I have that covered at least. |

Most likely it's the drain hoses that are clogged. There are 4 drain hoses: 2 in front on each side and 2 in back. The one's in back are very hard to get to but you can see the end of the hoses under the rear wheel arches. Take an air compressor and try to blow out the garbage that is stuck in these hoses and that should fix the leaks. I know this because it's happened to my 88 Rangie but I removed the headliner and can unclog each hose very easily. Hope this helps, John |

Thanks John Actually that sounds entirely consistent with the drip I have. It only seems to leak if I leave it pointed nose down on an incline - like in certain parts of our parking lot at work. Of course, because it does leak I haven't really tried to get it wet. Will give it a go. |

I can take some pics tonite (if it's not too cold) of the hoses since my headliner is off. |

thanks very much I would really appreciate that. Do I need to remove the headliner to get to the pipes?
