Recently I saw an FS ad concerning a 1992 Brooklands Green LSE RR. It contained the following, "It is the very rare LSE edition in Brooklands Green with light tan leather with piping. 115K of non-offroad miles, factory upgrade ADS stereo with 6 disc changer and sub woofer system." I have the same truck and by the numbers produced I never thought it was anything that special. Am I wrong? |

Are you sure yours is Brooklands Green? There were a few starting in 92 that had the Brooklands body kit. LSE models had wood on the shifter knobs and piping on the seats. My 92 is a rare color also, but for a different reason. It was a special model designed to sell for only $39900. Wish I knew how to post a picture of it. |

Mine has a sticker inside the hood states that it's Brooklands Green. It also has the wood shifter knob and piping. LSE emblem is on the tailgate. I've seen pictures of the body kit and I honestly can't see the difference. The one I saw for sale seems very nice but their asking 7k with 150k miles, I just had not thought of them as being that valuable no matter the condition. To post a picture check the Help/Instructions at the bottom of this page for information. |

I was mistaken, the mileage was 115k. The asking price is 7k. |

Figured it out maybe: Brooklands: This model was first shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September '91 at the introduction of the '92 models. It was finished in Brooklands green, and was the first Range Rover to have a new body styling kit produced by Tom Walkenshaw Racing (TWR) with different front and rear bumpers and deeper body color molded under body sills. The Brooklands model was never officially imported to the United States, but the styling kit was installed on a small number of Range Rovers by U.S. dealers between '92 and '94 In '95 the styling kit was shown in the dealer brochure. I have a 95 in this model. There are not too many of these around, but basically it is a Classic with nicer rims and a different body kit (sideskirts and front/rear bumpers.

Tim. Your car doesn't seem to have the exterior body kit fitted to it though. http://www.sharepointserver.com/private/snowrun/L_IMG_0965.jpg http://www.sharepointserver.com/private/snowrun/L_IMG_0967.jpg http://www.sharepointserver.com/private/snowrun/L_IMG_0951.jpg Those shots were taken last month with the wintertires and some dinged up rims. http://www.sharepointserver.com/usa/IMG_0772.JPG Those are the rims that came with the TWR kit.

No I don't have the molding or wheels as shown. Those first three pics look like they were tinted B & W photos with only the trucks colored. Or possibly it's just my eyes going bad! |

Must be the latter as I took those shots myself :P It was a very snowy day that day, but due to the heavy snowfall not all of those shots came out as I was hoping for. |
