I HAVE A 97 RR WITH @ 65K AND HAVE A CHATTER NOISE IN THE DASH THAT SEEMS TO BE AFFECTED BY THE SPEED OF THE VEHICLE, IT SEEMS TO OCCUR AS YOU ACCELERATE BETWEEN 20 AND 50 MPH.I WAS TOLD IT COULD BE THE EXPANSION VALVE IN THE A/C SYSTEM, WHY DOES IT CHATTER IF THIS IS TRUE, OR COULD IT BE SOMETHING ELSE. THERE ARE NO FAULTS IN THE MESSAGE CENTER OR IN THE HEVAC DISPLAY.... |

when I had a noise that could be described as "chattering" it were some leaves that were caught in the air vents. I have no air-con therefore dont know about noises from that thing. |

I get the same kind of noice. I do believe it is associated with the AC. The other noice that I get is the break pump. I used to not know what it was until I went to the owners manual and read that you can hear the break pump when you apply break pressure--especially at slow speeds. |
