Two weeks ago on my wife's 1998 Discovery, the back lighting on the right hand side of the display went out. I pulled out the radio, removed the cover and the front face plate. I was able to unplug and remove the display from the chassis. Can anybody tell me how easy/difficult it is to open the display and replace the failed lighting? Does anybody have a part number for the lighting replacement part. To make matters worse, yesterday, on my 1995 Range Rover Classic, the same thing happened. Both radios are identical part numbers. Previously was there some individual who posted that they do radio repairs? Thanks for any help or information. Jim Lupinetti

Now if it was the P38A, I could help. Nevertheless, check what I wrote about the P38A radio at http://www.rangerovers.net/repairdetails/radiolcd.html as it may just help you. Ron |
