OK, I am getting more serious about swapping out the BW. If I use a later 1995-1999 Disco LT230 I understand I need to change the output shaft on the zf (1993 RR) to the later FTC5090. How hard is this to do with the trans still in the car?

Thanks!

Easy - one bolt on end of output shaft and it slips right off. New one goes on just as easily.

Thanks Bill. Any seal to worry about or just reinsert the new shaft?

Oil seal in tailshaft should be fine. It is not disturbed really when you remove outputshaft.
