Will a complete rearend from an abs rover work on a non abs rover not concerned with the abs. Should I be able to bolt it on and it work.

Yes. Swap the axle as a whole is the easiest way to convert to 1.25" axles. Don't swap any brake parts. use all the old brake parts which are on your truck now.

Yes. I fitted a complete rear end from an ABS Disco to my '86 RR (I bought the MaxiDrive rear end that had been fitted to the Disco which was being traded and for which the dealer would offer no more trade). The non-ABS RR rear went to the Disco. I wonder how long it took the mechanics at the LR dealership where the Disco was traded to work out why the ABS light wouldn't reset.

The front would probably swap as a whole also. But we have to steer with the front. You should get the Disco's tie rod(the rod that turns the two wheels together)also. The drag link in the front could be a minor problem of length.

In other words, the swivel housings/ball are different between the ABS type and older non-ABS. So I don't know for sure if the drag link will bolt up with no problem at all.

I forgot to mention that the Disco had the rubber flex drive so I had to swap the tailshaft as well.
