I have a 97 RR 4.0 with a bad front hub bearing. The bearings are not replaceable. You must replace the "bearing assembly". My problem is I can not figure out how to remove this assembly? I have removed the wheel, the caliper, and the rotor. I also removed the 32mm nut in the center of the rotor. I removed the four bolts that apear to hold the bearing assembly in place, from the rear. Now I'm stuck? Nothing else wants to come off. Please help me out. Thank You Jason |

From what you described and looking at the service manual, it should just then slide right off. I can fax you the pages if you want, e-mail me a fax number off-line.

Jason - you might want to use a slightly more helptful / descriptive subject. A lot of folks will scan the message subjects to see if it concerns something they have knowledge on. |

Thanks Alan, I did get it out. I had to use a sledge hammer. It was very tight. |

The bearing numbers are shown at Andy C the WB site www.p38a.co.uk - see the wheel bearing menu item or go to http://www.cunningham.me.uk/rangie/bearing.php Ron |
