Hello all, I will be replacing the swival ball oil seals on my 90'RRC and would like to know if I should switch to the Land Rover grease or continue using 90w gear lube. Any personal experiance on the pros/cons of the Rover grease over the 90w would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance. ~Steve |

they say that if you off road then to stick to the 90w. this makes it easier to flush the contamination out. ie water. so the chioce is up to you. grease or oil . |

Steven take your time on changing your seals, because you can really clean up a lot of stuff under there, including repacking your bearings. I did it last summer and it took probably 6 hours, because I spent so much time cleaning up oil and other debris. I switched to the grease in mine personally. I heard about the water, but that is why I replaced by leaky seals. Good luck. |

agree with Aaron in that if you're taking the time to replace the seals which should keep the water out, use the "grease". keep in mind that the "grease" actually does flow and is not the viscosity of the stuff that comes out from your grease gun. have the lube in my 109, had it in the '93RR, and will have it in the '94RR.
