Hi Guys, My 2000 4.6 HSE has a factory roof rack. The two cross members are adjustable- but I can't see a locking mechanism. How do I move them? (Afraid of yanking on them in case I break something!) Thanks, Paul. |

On the Discos the locking mechanism is located on the bottom of the cross bar. Hope this helps. |

If memory serves me, on each end of the cross-bars there is a plastic cover that slides and reveals a locking bolt. Loosen the bolts on each end and the cross-member should be able to move with a little persuasion. |

Thanks Alan- I found that. I ended up paying $20 for a set of 100 'security' drivers- including the 4mm safety hex I needed. There are some I had never seen in there- handy if I ever get locked up. Anyhow, thanks for the help- all is fixed! Cheers, Paul. |
