Passanger side bottom cushion seat switch seems like it wants to work but isn't making contact. If you really jiggle it around it makes contact and the seat moves a tiny bit. I've run a few searches and the fix (for a Classic) seems to be remove the switch and clean it out. Would the same apply for the 98 Rangy ? |

First try spraying some electrical contact cleaner (radio shack) into the switch, let sit for a minute or two, then move the switch knobs around. Hopefully this will clean the contacts up, repeat if needed. You may have to remove some trim pieces to get a clear shot into the switch. I have also used silicone lubricant spray in my classic seat switches and it worked great. |

if that dont work, get yourself a BIG white towel, some tweezers and a six pack. if you crack the case open... do it s l o w l y and gently. the springs will launch the bearings and contact plates in the air so that they might land on your big white towel, clean the contacts and grease, then reassemble utilizing your tweezers. when you get it all back together, that sixer is gonna taste better than any thing on God's green earth. |

Well the contact cleaner did the trick, but there is one adjustment that still doesn't work - the seat now won't go back. Any other suggestions guys (without taking the switch apart) ? |
