I have a set of Michelin LTX/AT 245/75-16s that I just took off my DII. They have plenty of life left, and I would like to use them on my 92 RR Classic, but it looks like they might rub. The air dam is still on the front, and it has a stock suspension. Has anyone run this size without a lift? Any thoughts appreciated.

you should be alright. there should be ne rubbing at all. unless you really compress the suspension off road. but if main use is highway then you should be fine. i had a set of 235 / 85 on our 92 and used it off road. there was no rubbing at all. now i have added ome lift. no complaints so far.

Yeppers, by golly, they do. It took 3 tire shops to get it done though. The first two rolled the new tire up, held it against the old and said "No. It's bigger. Ain't gonna fit". So I did something radical. I took a tape measure and measured the tire and the opening, did a little math and covinced myself that it would. At the third shop, I offered to pay the expense of mounting two tires, just in case, to see what happened if it was actually on the vehicle. Of course, it worked, and now I ride just a little higher. It would have been worth the cost of the trial just to see the tire shop guys gawk at the lug nuts. The dude made 5 trips to the tool rack before he got a socket large enough. :>)

Thanks for the input. ]
