Request advice. My mechanic stated that my cylinder heads are slightly cracked around the valve seats due to overheating. Has anyone experienced this before? Sounds strange to me.

BTW, does anyone know of a good Rover mechanic in the San Antonio/Austin area? Thanks!

I do all of my own stuff but in Austin there's a shop on 5th nearly directly across from the LR dealer. Haven't used them but have seen several Discos there. Also MotorCars Ltd on 183.

Thanks, Geoff. It turns out that my heads were not cracked. I can definately tell you where not to take a Land Rover in San Antonio, Tx--the shop claims to be a well-versed independent LR shop, but they rot. Wish I could find a good Land Rover mechanic in San Antonio. Dealership is good, but $$ and waiting list.

Regards!
