Rear tail lights quit working and it is not a bulb or a fuse unless there is an inline fuse or something I do not know about.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks

Check the ground conections at the D pillar on each side above where the tail lights located inside the vehicle. (you may have to remove some trim to access the ground points).

Leigh,
I've been looking through the Electronic Troubleshooting Manual and the Owner's Manual and I can find no reference to fuses for the headlights, stop lights or park lights. I assume they are powered though one of the Maxifuses via the BeCM.

The tail lights are controlled by the BeCM. They are controlled independently of the front sidelamps so if the front lamps are working, we can rule out the lighting switch.

It appears also (but this may be market specific but it applies to my Australian-delivery spec model) that the side lamps can be controlled by the indicator (blinker) switch. With the ignition key out, and the blinker switch to the left or right and the lighting switch turned to park lights, the left or right park lights should illuminate. With the blinker switch in the middle position, both left and right park lights should illuminate. Test this to see if it brings the rear lamps on or still just the front lamps. That may help diagnose the problem.

With the key in, all 4 (2 front, 2 rear) lamps should illuminate. Are your front lamps working?

If you remove either (or both) of the tail light bulbs, do you get a tail light bulb failure message in the Message Centre?

Ron
