Take it from me, don't waste your breath on that lot at LR Special Vehicles. They are not the dept they once were although LR would have us all believe they are. The only 'special' thing they do these days is blank out the rear window panels on the UK spec 'Commercial' versions of the Discovery and Freelander. I was writing a feature for a mag a while ago on a 6x6 Special Vehicles built Defender 110. I called SV hoping to get some research info for the piece, however according to them, they had never made such a vehicle. 'Err, i think you have' i had to politely remind them. 'How old is it then?' i was asked with a huff. '10 yrs old' says me. 'Oh heck, there'll be nobody working here knows anything about that...Goodbye'-click-brrr............. Nice to know that the infamous LR customer service style is still alive and well... |
