Hello all. Need some input regarding buying a D90? 1. Can only afford about 20-25k, what will that get me? 2. Is the auto in 97 better than the manual in previous years? 3. What major mechanical issues do I need to be aware of on 94-95's, since this seems to be where I'll be looking? TIA |

Well, 25-30k can get you different D-90's depending on what year. Right now a low mileage (20-45k) 97' can go upwards up 35k depending on rust issues, condition and mods. I am not sure if the 97' auto is better, but it holds more value because it was the last year imported into US. Not sure about mechanical issues though. Good luck on your hunt! |

Hi Michael, 1. 20-25K is plenty. If you shop around, it can get you a very nice D90. 2. Not necessarily, it comes down to personal preference. 3. Everything...and nothing specific. Just make sure you buy a D90 with a well-documented service history. My old D90 was in better shape when I sold it with 80K miles than when it had 40K. I serviced it religiously and kept every record. You may try posting on the D90 Source BB www.d-90.com or look around the FAQ section for the answers to a bunch more questions you may have. Good luck. ~Art Vigil
