check engine light on. any suggestions. 1995 nas defender. 72000 miles. chicago.

There should be a box which displays the fault code, since this is a pre OBD II vehicle. On the Disco's, it's under the passenger seat, it may be in another location on your Defender. Once you find it, go to the tech section of this site, there is a link to a list of fault codes there.

Behind the instruments on the left side in back. Disconnect the speedo cable before fishing around back there. Brick red in color and the size of two zippos. Remove the relay, reset with paperclip, return to original position. Good to Go.

thanks axel it is code 44 and that is the 02 sensor. can you tell me where exactly is that located i already know how to change it. it is the left one.

you know how to change the oxygen sensor but you don't know where it is?????????
