I was looking at a '97 D90 that has been rolled. How hard is it technically to replace outter body panels given the frame is in spec? I've noticed that the panels look like their riveted or spot welded on. Am I right?

Also are pannels readily available for such a project and if so where?

Thanks

It's not difficult at all to replace the body panels. It really depends on which panels, as each one is attached in a different way, both the outside skin and the internal structure.

Panels are fairly easy to locate. Dealers can order ones that are hard to find, but both Roversdownsouth and Rovers North carry a good quantity of them. Including used ones or ones that they just tore off a UK spec truck. If I were to rebuild a D90, I'd definitely make it into a half cab pickup with a roll cage. Those things are the coolest looking D90's around.
