Hello,
I am considering selling the Disco and buying a D90. I am looking at all the D90s for sale and calculating how much it would cost me to accessorize it to my liking.
One option I have, is a 94 with one of those plastic hard top. Could you share what roof rack options are available, pricing, and comments on it? Thank you!

Hey Jose,

Roof rack options are pretty slim when it comes to the soft tops. When you say you have a "plastic" top, I assume your referring to the fiberglass top for the soft tops.

Really, the best option for you with a soft top would be the standard LR adventure rack for the d-90. I picked mine up for $1300 from thatchedroofgarage.com. You can be patient and wait to find someone selling a used one as well.

David, that is exactly what I mean, the fiberglass top. Thank you for the advise. As you mentioned, limited availability on tops. Unfortunately, a roof rack is definitely a must with the lack of cargo space on the D90. Thank you

Jose, does this 90 only comes with the fiberglass top? Any soft top in the deal? You might want to look on one with a number of tops since the fiberglass top would be a bit cumbersome to be taking on and off.

As David said, the best option (and "correct" looking one imho) is obviously the genuine SD roofrack and you should be able to mount it with or without the top on. I think I saw one in the classifieds over at d-90.com.

Good luck!

Glenn

P.S. With the rear seat out, it can carry a lot of load. Just make sure everything is properly strapped.
