Anyone have a reference on replacing the front shocks in a Defender? I'm hoping I don't have to dislodge the spring...do I just take off the tower cap and pull the shock up through there? Thanks, Wicks |

I don't know any information on the shock change. I would think you would have to dislodge the springs but i am not sure. If i am not mistaking you will need a spring compression tool to get them back on, but i could be wrong. Might want to check out the Forum on www.d-90.com |

Wicks you got the right idea about pulling the "cap" off, then there is another bolt on the bottom duh. should be pretty straight foreward however you may have to onbolt some stuff to get good access to the "cap" |

ALso, what is the deal with OME shocks being too long for the rear? I am leaving the original coils cuz I like smooth ride, so should I get Bilstiens for the rear, or all around, or what? |
