Just wondering if anyones converted their drums to disk brakes? How was the process and if there's a conversion kit available? Thanks in advance.

I've thought about doing this too and have read postings on other boards about it. From what I've read you can use non-ABS RRC hubs, spindles and calipers with a flat 1/2" thick plate welded or bolted to the axle housing to mount the caliper. By using the non-ABS stuff it is supposed to work out to the right dimensions so the axle shafts fit properly. I do know that the 110 parts manual shows a caliper mounting bracket about like that.

Hey Mike,

I've heard it that it has also been done using Discovery disk brakes. Troy and Keith from Rovertracks.com are apparently working on something right now. I'll let you know what I hear as soon as I get a response from them.

I converted my 110 to disk brakes, but it was done off vehicle as part of an axle swap. Since it is a Salisbuty I'm not sure it is as easy as a Rover axle, though.
