The NRP system is in. I really like it overall. The SW is a little more responsive off the line. The exhaust note is just like NRP advertised, mellow but aggressive. You can tell that there is a v-8 under the hood, but the cabin noise is very tolerable even at speeds over 55.

The tech at the dealer really liked it as well. I was just finishing up with the removal of the old system, and the cold front hit Chicago. Since a cold weather install was out of the question and I also needed to get a new O2 sensor, off to the dealer it went to finish. Luckily, a few other items needed addressing, such as a new speedo transducer (whatever the hell that is).

All said, a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. IMHO.

What price did you pay, if you don't mind me asking Eric.

Wicks,

$1,300 even for the system. I had a credit with RN and I asked Art if RN would take care of the shipping. He agreed and 5 days later, Mr. UPS man delivered.

I highly recommend it. Just one less thing to worry about. Here is how the OEM parts work out:

97 4.0 Auto
1. downpipe $973
2. inter. silencer $229
3. tailpipe $79
4 olive for y $10.5
5. rubber mounts x3 $15

$1,306.5 plus tax and shipping. Easy choice! I'll post some pics when I get my lazy ass around to it.
