I am working on a D90 disel pick up project and we are upgrading to a 4.6l engine. All is set up with many upgrades/aftermarket do-dads. However, we are having a difficult time finding a non LR roller timing chain and gears that fit a 4.0/4.6 distributorless engine. Same as 97 D-90. Any clue out there. I had used a Cloys on my 110 upgrade/project, but the larger gear that goes on the cam had a slighter smaller inner hole for the my 4.0 that I installed (with a distributor). I know Cloys and Crains Cams does not make one. I have calls in to Edlebrok and Comp Cams, but no answer yet. Custom is an option, but now I'm just looking for a manufactured part. I'll take any advice or direction. We just hate to upgrade a bunch of other things and be stuck with a stock LR timing chain and gears. Thanks, Neil |
