On my wife's '97 D-90 and my 110, we both installed Pioneer XM CD player a couple of years ago. The model number escapes me, and there is no markings on the removable face plate. Which ever model it is, it was one of there top ones at the time with XM. With two years of wheelin' in dust, mud, etc., the 90 degree angle in the D-90 and the 45 degree of the 110's mount, the radios have never faultered, failed, or given us any problems. All the installers warned us that there are no companies/manufacturers out there that recommened the mount we must face, but so far we have had great luck. No upgrades with a sub in either vehicle. The D-90's stock speakers and amp matched the Pioneer well. Yes, more bass would be great, but it's crystal clear on the highway with the soft top. I replaced the speakers on my 110 with Infiniti Kappa series. They are wonderful. Just don't get them soaked and sit in water. I learned that one the hard way. A sub will be on the way for me in the 110 and maybe I'll ask for that for my B-day from my wife! hehe. If I can be of any additional help, let me know. Neil |
