Can anyone give some information on heated windscreen and mirror conversions for a 90?

I've heard of 110 owners doing this and would like to do the same...

Thanks,
Dave

The NAS 110 came standard with a heated windscreen, but the mirrors are the standard manual / unheated variety.

The heated screen is nice, but I'm not sure the heated mirrors are something I would go for - just a more expensive part to replace when you break the mirror glass.

As with most Defender stuff, parts are widely available, just not in the US!

According to d-90.com, RN has a wiring kit available. A couple of people have done the conversion on d-90.com, you should email them and get their feedback.

Dave

I seem to remember seeing an ad in the "Specials" page on the D90 Source in which heated side mirrors were for sale. I checked and they're not up but I think it was Chris Velerdi of Extreme Force that sold them. I'd give him a call as his website doesn't seem to be up anymore.

Thanks DJ. I did try getting to his site to get some of his convex mirrors, but it does not seem to work. I'll call him direct.

The Extreme Force website is down (has been for as long as I have ever tried it), but they are in business - I just installed the convex glass in my 110 mirrors last weekend.

Cool, thanks guys. It's nice to see some response on this list from Def owners....

No problem. If you do the heated mirror thing let us know how it comes out. I have them on my RR and it is really nice, but seems a bit unnecessary for the 110 since it is not my daily driver/commuter. (And I like the things that stick out of the sides of the 110 to be as inexpensive and simple to replace as possible!)
