I am looking to trade my 2000 Disco 2 for a D-90. If you think yours is of comparable value email me. Some info on my Discovery : 32000 miles, small ding on hood and right rear quarter panel. Only mods are a CDL lever and 2 inch spacers. Factory roof rack, 2 factory front bumpers(One cut and one clean) and A-frame bull bar. Interier is good, and NO LEAKS. I am located in Massachusetts.

I hope there are some stiffer aftermarket springs to go w/ those 2 inch spacers.

I'm looking to trade my 1998 disco w/ 64k miles for a defender 110 with full roll cage, winch, 255/85 tires, locked up front and rear, HD axles, and has a snorkel.

I don't think you are aware of the supply and demand issue of Defenders here in America. Most people only depart with their Defenders from their cold dead hands or big $$$.

Whatever. What are you - 10?
Not everyone buys a vehicle as a phallic extension; the only competition is in your head. Your comments don't make you sound like a dick - just envious.

By the way, I've seen many modified vehicles spank D90s off road: jeeps, broncos, land cruisers, you name it. I drive a D90 cause I like it, not to be "badder" than anyone.
Sorry to jump in your shit, I just get really annoyed by people who let their ego steer for them, not that it applies to you.

Chris, You should be able to get enough $ out of your Disco to pick up a D90, as the market for them is definitely in the favor of the buyer right now. They're not as out of reach as you think - if you want one, make it happen.
If you have questions about anything D90 related, shoot me an email anytime, I'll help you in any way I can.

D-90's yeah they are nice. I get shit all the time from people cause I like my D-90 so much they talk crap about how many other trucks are better and all in terms of the $$ spent. If that was the case I woulda gotten a Suzuki Samuri. I agree with you Art its all about the ego.

Zuks are very cool too. In all honesty I would probably be better off with the little beast. How's that for a phallic extention?:-)

Saw one in a parking lot the other day - it had knobby tires, a roof rack and little Hella wannabees on top. Cool as heck, really looked like a mini D90ST. I think it'd be a blast to build one up to look like a D90, roll cage and all. I've seen a couple of them severely modified for off road use - they do surprisingly well here in Colorado being so narrow.

Christopher- Are you referring to the new Crosslander coming out as "stiff competition"? It looks like a defender, but I heard its' not near tough as the rover.

No, The original plan was to put my D2 on a pair of Volvo 303 portal axles. But I axed the idea and actually I did buy a Zuk. So you guys can stop worrying:-)

The previous owner did allot of work. This is the list of mechanical mods he gave me: 3" SPOA(spring over axel) lift, Doetsch tech shocks, lockers front and rear, 4:16 crawler tranfercase, Old man emu Z link, Birfield driveshaft, ARB front bumper, recent 1300cc rebuild with jet coated header and webber carb kit. Almost a perfect Zuk. Just a little fine tuning left regarding mods.

What's great is they are relativly cheap to pick up and mod and from my reading are great offroad. I love my D2 but it wasn't originally bought to be an offroader. So I'm going to keep it mild for awhile. The Zuk is gonna be a great trail slut. I have skipped many an obstacle with my Rover...now I can go full out and not worry about the consequences$$$$

Art, You said you have seen many D-90's get spanked off road. I would love to see that especially if it was by a jeep. If a jeep that was equal (ex.Basically same mods) to my D-90 went more places than i could i don't know if i would ever show my face out of the trails again.;)When you buy a D-90 you are in a type of brotherhood and whoever said that most defender owners will get rid of it by there cold dead fingers often times tends to be right or on the other hand with a pretty penny. I know right now i wouldn't sell my D-90 for 70,000 dollars. Its not worth that much but to me its worth way more than that.

Phillip,
Like you said, I get crap all the time from people who say why did you pay 35,000 dollars for that jeep look-a-like when you could have got an escalade or something. I just take them over to my dorm window and tell them to look at it then go find me 5 more around the area. Because with an Escalade or any other vehicle for that matter you can find 5 or 6 of them in one parking lot. I am glad to be different and glad to be a Rover D-90 Owner. :-)

Jason, read what I said again and try to concentrate when you do, it makes comprehension much easier.
