well, none of my text posted, so I will repeat it:

Does anyone with Castor alloys want to trade their spare for one of my Castors? I am trying to line up 4 people so I come out with 4 spare wheels in trade for my alloys. I will trde straight up - you ship spare to me , I ship alloy to you. However, I will only do this if I can arrange 4 people. I don't want to get stuck driving with 3 spares and an alloy.

Anybody interested?

-marc

Marc,
Hell, yeah I'm interested. I've been looking for someone to do this with. Count me in, and I might have access to another one for you. Email me back off list and I will give you some more info. Thanks.
Rob

Mr. Interested #2. I have 5 castors right now and a stock steelie. This would let me get that 6th same wheel/tire and then I could rotate #5 & #6 in with the 4 on the ground. Where are you located?

P.S. Break his chains and set that castor free!

Guys,

I feel like a jackass for this, but I have to call the whole thing off. My wife put the ky-bosh on the deal. She likes the alloys and hates the steelies. Maybe I can convince her in time, but for now - no dice. Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up.

I will take up where Marc left of.

The offer: straight swap of my used castor wheels for your spare wheel. My castors have a few scratches and nicks but have never suffered a flat off-road.

The best way to do this might be for me to locate a spare locally, then I get the tire swapping ball going.

So who is still in?

Those who want a 235/85 Trac Edge spare would make it very easy for me. 2 rear tires for $15 each and 2 front for $30 each. They have been on for year. The rears have lost sonme lugs on the outer edge.

I live in Seattle. If you are interested leave a message here.

I'm still interested, but I'll be putting new 245/75 on your castor. So I'd have to ask you to have the tire yanked. What's the castor weigh - about 23 lbs? If you'll provide your zip code, I can calculate our shipping.

My spare steelie has about 100 miles on it; otherwise covered by silly plastic dinner plate; absolutely no dings/scratches/etc. I'll snap a photo of my steel and post it for you. I'll have to get the BFG yanked off my steel, too. I'll need to see a photo of the castor destined for me before the deal. Of course, I want the nicest one. :) I'm such a high-maintenance SOB, but I'm ready to roll on this...

1) Blue
2) JCC

I need two more.

Zip. 98117

Blue, the rear right has your name on it. The rears will go first. This was taken after it was detailed. I will make sure it is thoroughly cleaned before shipping :)

I live IN N.C. 27858......Is this gonna be really expensive for shipping? Is there an internet site to go to to calculate shipping?

How much does the wheel and tire combo weigh? You got a pick of the one set aside for me or are they all in that good of shape?

calc shipping here:
http://www.bcentral.com/marketplace/ship.asp

tires can be done for around $20-30, rims a little more. When my castor + stock Michelin came down from Denver, it was about $50. I'll roll my steelie to the tire shop to yank the BFG and roll by the postage store to weigh it . For some reason I think I remember castors weighing about 23 lbs. Steelies are a bit heavier. Wheel & tire is about the same as a big olympic bench plate (45 lbs).

Moe,

I've got my steelie in the back of the Disco today - I'll swing by the tire shop on the way home to strip the BFG off of it. Let me know when you're ready to trade.

Mike W. sorry, no offense, but I guess it's all about the right place and right time. If, for some reason, Moe decides at the last minute that he can't bear to part with his swanky castors, then you're the man :)

Mike W.,
Count me in on that one, too. If Moe decides not to trade, I've got one for you. Let me know.

I still need ONE more individual for my last castor but am already going ahead with the deal.

So far I am counting on Blue, JCC, and Rob Land. Blue is getting the wheel rolling and is sending his spare my way. If I can pick up a local spare for a sixth wheel, then I should be able to send two castors out this week.
