The most recent Bond movie - World Is Not Enough -tons of Discos in it.
Dumb and Dumber - a Classic Rangie (it may have been stretch limo Rangie) is parked on the street in Aspen as the guys ride past on the scooter.
Gods Must Be Crazy, of course
As I remember others will let you know.

Also, Jacqueline Kim drives a black Discovery in the Tommy Lee Jones disaster movie "Volcano". She plays a doctor and helps Tommy rescue an injured firefighter during the eruption. Not exactly offroading, but a more realistic use of a Land Rover than driving one to the mall.

"Snatch" turkish and tommy drive around in a rangie.
"She's All That" Teeny bopper guy drives around in a yellow D-90.
Simpsons visit Africa episode. Looks like they drive around in a series LWB.
By LR Max on Friday, July 06, 2001 - 05:53 pm: Edit |
Another one I saw was Jackie Chans "Operation Condor". There were 2 Series 3 LWB SW that the bad guys rode around in. Then Jackie and the girls (the movie gets annoying because the girls don't do anything but slow Jackie down and wine) steal a RR.
By Glenn Guinto (Glenn) on Monday, July 09, 2001 - 03:30 am: Edit |
Nickelodeon's "The Wild Thornberry's". Cartoon show about a family that films documentary stuff in Africa. They drive around in a series truck.
Discovery Channel/Animal Planet - "Crocodile Hunter". Steve Erwin (crazy mo-fo) sometimes drive in a series with the top off.

Roger Moore was driving a convertable RR Classic at the beginning of one of the Bond movies. Also, in one of the Timothy Dalton Bond movies, a SIII gets run off a cliff in the opening.
Movies for Guys Who Like Movies uses a red Series Rover for a lot of the clips.
Romancing the Stone : Kirk's truck that got ran over by the bus was a Series Rover.

Bill,
I believe that the Discovery that Julia Roberts drove in Stepmom was dark/navy blue, but I could be mistaken.

check out "The wedding planner" Matthew M. drives a new series II disco, also for the ultimate landrover movie check out "Walking with lions" or something like that...it has a ton of series, but also a chase scene with a 101 forward control and then in the end the old man charges the poachers with his landy with a revolver sticking out the side of the truck blasting away!!!! Awesome!!

"Exit Wounds with Steven Seagal and DMX has a Range Rover Classic chase scene in it."
Any one that Owns a classic knows the horn is on the signals switch, not on the steering wheel, like portrayed in that movie.

Time Code featured a black Range Rover (almost) driven by Salma Hayek. That is, before her onscreen, jealous lesbian lover takes all the air out of a tire. Interesting flick, it had the screen split into 4 sections/scenes, all four running at the same time.
Sorry ladies!

Boiler Room - the bald guy, ven deisle, has a nice black Rangie, with lights on top.
Another brand new movie - a doctors daughter gets kidnaped and he has to get a 6 digit number out of his patients head to save her. on the preview he busts through a gate with the common grill gaurd. I am gonna try that.

The new movie that is just now being advertised with the erie voice singing,
"I'll never tell"
I forget the name, but the tv trailer has a white gold Disco 2 smashing through a gate. It's just shown for a split second. I'm sure it will belong on the list here.

Here's a rare one for you.
In the Cantonese version of Game Of Death (with Bruce Lee), the Police arrive to arrest Lee in a Land Rover D90 (could be a SII, I'm not sure).
It was not in the Western release, only the Cantonese version.
HooRAY! I found one!
