Alright boys, David is hooked on "Love Cruise" because I mentioned y'all were watching it. Then I started a little teasing here about it and everyone shut up. He blames me and said I should start a new note about it. This is evidently important business, he's said it twice and he never repeats himself. I was bad, I was wrong, I should have never teased about you watching it. You have me watching it and I say so unashamed. It's perhaps the most twisted of the reality TV shows, and certainly the fastest paced (let's hope they NEVER show Big Brother again!). O.k., so I'm a little ashamed I'm watching it, LOL. Now, somebody say you're watching so I can report back to David. He needs to know macho men who drive serious trucks into serious shit are watching Love Cruise, too. You have to admit, it's fun wondering if Toni's eyes will pop right out of her head. God love Fox, they are the Kings of TV crap!

Gotta love New Yankee Workshop.

I've got this old tree that I cut up, planed, edged and glues into panels, then I routed out these nice edges and using my biscuit joiner glued the whole assemble together. After letting the glue set, I sanded, oiled and applied my homemade varnish and voila.

HAHAHAHA, GP was that you that posted the original "Love Cruise" note? I thought it was Eric. Hey Eric, you don't know what you're missing, this one is really fast-moving stupid! I'm surprised we're watching it, but I swear it's David's doing. Of course, he calls it the Love Boat, but never mind. As for the other shows, although we've watched them all, some have issues for us. David, the man with his own carpentry business, tends to get apoplectic watching Norm so casually waltz around his skadillion dollar work shop, which is never dirty. I think all those free tools raise David's blood pressure, especially when they are used to make yet another copy of some arcane piece of furniture. This Old House, always fun, and we both yell at Bob Vila. We catch JYW and Battlebots when we can and they never fail to entertain. As for the rest on the Discovery Network, yup, watch 'em all. Hell, I LIVE in some of those shows. The other day we watched a crow kill a snake in our front yard. Lately it's been a bit too much CNN and the rest of the news outfits. Probably gives me a clue about our escapism into freakin' Love Cruise. GP, can you REALLY take the depressed Melissa???? I mean, her face is always so sour/sad/pained looking. Now, that hottie Darin.....you got it in one, I like him, LOL! Prettiest girl, Tomika. Most likely to be seen in a police line up: Toni. Biggest doofus: Mike. Most likely to be poison if he was a bug: Anthony. The most likely to open her own vein: Melissa. All the rest: Least likely for me to remember three minutes after the show is over....boring!

well i did kinda start it all. it was not orginally a love cruise post......i was just adding to my original post that i had just seen it. the only others to post about it besides you were Danno and Rob D.
yeah....melissa is a sour puss kinda of gal, but of the ones left i like her the most. i hate that freak monster chick toni. i mean she is just nasty. but there is that one that i like on loser island.....i forget her name. she is pretty nice. tall and toned. i just hope melissa and darin win it.
overall i think that this is the least creative show (if you can call any of them that) of them all. i mean even the host.....justin i think that's his name.....is a dork. all this stuff is crap, but after work at nights i don't mind not being stimulated at all by tv.

my favorite was the one you missed ron. least i think you did. when alyssa had evan in the passenger seat heading up the hill just behind our camping area. i was next in line and she just HAMMERED up that hill and tagged that boulder. blew the tire off the rim and i guess bent it on both sides. that was pretty cool. evan is still in therapy because of that!!!

from what i heard someone in a series truck was heading up the hill climb and tried to catch 2nd gear and missed and then rolled back on his top. was this what happened?? anyone??

I didn't hear about a Series rolling, but there was a Series that was in 2nd going up a hill-climb, had to downshift, but found that the clutch was gone... followed immediately by discovering that the brakes were gone, too....

Got down okay, but ended up w/ a busted joint inside the swivel... had it torn down so that it could be rebuilt there so it could be towed home.

i would say most of them escaped without any damage. the only big nasty rocks i saw were in the river and well......the huge ass one on that one climb under the power lines. i saw that one shortly after alyssa pointed it out to me.

but there were a few heavily setup rigs. hell one looked like swamp buggy. (yellow d90) those are the boys that most likely did the most damage.

Once I hosed the mud off, I discovered that I had scraped a bit of the coating on the front of the brush-bar when ramping over some things, but no "DAMAGE" just "cosmetic"......

Garrett,

The Disco you are talking about is John's from RTE. He was backing up to get a running start at a hill. He went a little too far backwards and caught a tree root. Boom...window was gone. I don't know who blew out there side window. Overall, I would say most people who drove the trails came out unscaved. I myself ended up with a nice scratch down the side of the driver door.

Good weekend, good trails, good fun, not enough rain though.

well ok. sit down (ok you are) and let me tell you.
well like toni is such a bitch. a huge one.......no really she is. i have to say this again. i was dry heaving all night looking at her. ok....i will stop that and get to the point.
i forget all the names so bear with me.
the two last couples were melissa and her man and the attorney dude and the chick he brought back to the boat.
well then the crazy producers decided to really spice things up and add another couple to the mix. can you believe it!!! OMG WOW is this good.
the third couple was added by the remaining people voting on who it should be.
the third couple was the black guy and skinney blonde girl that was making fun on toni's fake boobs on the first day. (sorry....just really bad with names)
i think this automatically gives this team an unfair advantage so close to the end of the show. since the remaining people vote again to see who will win the whole deal.
but before all this (OMG i almost forgot to tell you) the dark skinned girl that was brought back on the boat from loser island got into a big nasty fight with huge toni the warrior warthog from hell. she explained that toni tried to manipuate her into losing on the previous show. remember when toni told her that she would give her 20K to help her with her mother and daughter?? what a nice gal. but she was actually saying it so that the other girl would give up the race to win and give toni a better shot.
well that backfired and everyone found out about it and hating the big breasted beast for being such a winch.
so then toni went ape shit from some kind of steriod overdose (my diagnosis) and just freaked out on that girl on the beach just hours before the final vote.
so basically no one was now going to vote for the lawyer dude and that girl. game over for them.
now it's between melissa and her boy toy and the black guy (from loser island) and the blonde girl.
ok....this is where it gets good.
it came down to a tie....5 votes each for the two couples. can you believe it.....like this was so crazy.
so the deciding vote came down to the lawyer dude and his partner.
they voted for melissa and her man. it was ssssoooooo cute.
and the best was that melissa and toni hated each other and melissa had told everyone that she did not want the vote after yelling at everyone during the voting. the yelling came about because toni asked a not so nice question to melissa. that was part of the voted i forgot to mention as well. everyone was allowed to ask one question before the voting. and toni thought that melissa was 'using' her boy toy just to win.
so toni was VERY pissed of course that melissa won.
and i guess melissa and her boyfriend back at home are done and that her new found love on 'love cruise' is where she will be spending some time with in her cabana.
i am sure i left out some stuff as it is very early for me to be typing this stuff.

Toni "The Warthog" Beast from Hell was on the Regis show the other morning and it was clear she hadn't won, but they really didn't elaborate much. They DID do this cool thing where they had a clip of her eyes bulging out like the mental patient she is and they colored them red, LOL! They did it in slo-mo, too, for better effect. Toni of course claimed we all got the wrong idea about her....yeah, right. So was it Melissa "Somebody pass me the Prozac" and that cute l'il Darin "Hunka hunka" who won?

you were going to kill me? well the Big Easy was not the place to do it. too many cute girls there and they would get grossed out with all the blood. and my soon to be ex would have been a little.....just a little though, upset about it.
i did beat on the truck a little at MAR, but it was not like i was just recklessly flying all over with one hand on the wheel and another on a 5th of JD. just trying to hang with the big boys thats all. and in the process just bent and bruised a few things.
i'd be willing to try that section up behind tussey mountain. fine with me. was hard to tell how big those rocks/boulders were. one way to find out.
hell.......it's a company vehicle!!! hehe
let me know if you want to visit for a PSU game. we suck ass this year, but still fun as hell to hang out at 8 am and drink lagers and wings. or just head to hooters and screw the game. i can usually get tickets so anyone interested just let me know.

why i am always the first to bring this up? i was waiting for some other input. but i would have to say i was a little disappointed with the selection on Ti2 (temptation island 2). there were a few on there that could have easily been mistaken for prostitutes.......just nasty. and the one with her jean shorts unzipped looking like cross between a trailer park queen and an overweight WWF roadie trying for the Brittany Spears look. i mean are they seeking this type of thing out? but what can we expect from Fox. well that is all i have to say for now.
