Once in a while I see some kind of hate directed towards Hummers. In fact some people even brag about towing a Hummer out of some kind of mess. Well not me; Why should I use my Disco when I have another piece of gear in the garage that can take care of those poor Hummers.

Yep my army-friend tells me of stories of dropping them out of airplanes with huge parachutes, and one of them failing to open and hitting the ground from 10000 feet. It was still drivable!

(he he he just kiddin that last part)

Paul,

Is the Osprey gonna make it, or is it gonna get canned?

To L;

The Osprey will fly again. We are working very hard to move on, fix the airplane and repair the damage from the media. To many people who do not work in aviation seem to have all the answers without knowing the true facts. People forget that if it wasn't for the aviation accidents of the past, we would not be flying today. The H-46, H-53, H-1, F-14, F-16, F-18, and F-117 all have endured a very rough begining. Look at those aircraft now, they are all great flying birds. But everyone seems to conviently forget those facts. The V-22 is a great aircraft that is constantly badgered by politics and the media.

I would love to take CBS's Dan Rather and anyone else who is against the Osprey for a flight. After they piss themsleves, they'll ask for another ride.

Ron,

I hope not.... The 46s and 47s that I flew in were 'okay', but just thinking about length-of-time in-route to the action... you're an easier target in a helo... The idea of an Osprey sweeping in from outside the zone, dropping you off quick w/ a Harriers tagging along, well.... as a grunt, I'd be happier.....

Paul,

Stick at it, Devil Dog!

The Osprey plant is not that far away from my house. You could always see them fly it for a couple of minutes, then land it. Then all these technicians go out there and nod their heads. The damn things are pretty loud too. It used to be a big deal for us small city folk, but nobody really cares anymore. I guess the idea kind of flopped.
