Sean and Patricia Fradenburg own it.
I will find their info and let them know. They are old friends of ours so I will figure out what is going on and make sure you are taken care of.

I have been dealing with Larry Harrell with Rover Clubhouse. He strikes me as very nice and very sincere. I have been taken in the past, but I am going with my instincts and saying this guy is a good guy. I needed a cup holder for my truck and ordered it through Rover Clubhouse. He only wanted to charge me $7.50 for shipping and the product, which was great. I got an apology a week later saying that it had been sold by his partner there and that he regretted the mixup. He sent me a $25.00 gift certificate to their company, some stickers, and told me he would send back the original $7.50. Now I did not get the $7.50 refunded from him and I have not heard back from the email questioning this, but I am chalking it up to a mistake on his part or a misunderstanding on my part and him maybe not being in the office this past week. Maybe I am being greedy to even ask for $7.50 back when I have a coupon for $25.00, but my thinking is that I do not know when/if I will be able to use that gift certificate so it would be nice to have back the money. Now if this company is on the up and up, like I believe them to be, you have to admit that giving me a $25.00 gift certificate is way above and beyond what would be expected for just making a mistake and not having my order on hand.

Yeah Larry has been a totally fair guy when I have been able to get a hold of him. Prices are great and I havent black listed them yet.
I actually had the same thing happen to me. I ordered some stuff and it turned out his partner had already sold it. That is were the problem lies, he charged me for stuff that was already sold. Some of it was taken care of but I cant get ahold of them to have the rest reimbursed.

Well I hope that is not too much of a pattern with them. They seem to be good guys so it would be a shame to get a bad rep for just being unorganized!
Do you mind me asking what you mean by "some of it was taken care of"? Did you get your money back.
Like I said, the gift certificate seemed like a nice gesture to me so I am doing my best to believe in the best in these people and not get too negative. I have a habit of fighting for my rights too soon sometimes when a simple misunderstanding explained everything.
'Course, I don't want to be a sucker either! ; )

Hey Ho,
I just received the gift certificate late this last week so I have not even had a chance to use it.
"Is it usable?" - that may be my question as well.

I can vouch for the integrity and honesty of Larry and Sean and RoverClubhouse. They are currently moving to a larger shop. I have ridden many trails with them in the past few months and they have always been willing to lend a hand or give a part and have gone out of their way to help me and many of my new friends in the rover circles of the southeast. Their website doesn't have their new phone # but I am certain that they will make right any perceived wrong. Send them an email to [email protected]

If they are moving that makes sense that they are not responding.

Here is my story. A few weeks ago they posted a wrecked Disco they wanted to part out. I requested the interior shift assembly ($35 damn good price), ash try ($5)that fits in the back of the console, rubber rear cargo mat($30), and the little rubber mat ($5) that fits on the dash. Larry charged my Amex card ($85 w/shipping)and then called and said the shift assembly had already been sold and the ash try broke when he was trying to pull it out.
He took care of $30 but when the box arrived I only received the cargo mat. Yeah I know its only a difference of $15 but that could get me a discoweb sticker.

Tenacstud - thanks for the whole story. Jason - thanks for the your .02.
To me it sounds like things are just a little jumbled with the move. I am happy to know that I did not get the wrong impression from these guys - that they really are good people, and that they are just going through some growing pains.

Tenacstud - Jason, thanks for the stories.
To me it sounds like they are just going through some growing pains right now and things are getting a little jumbled up. I am happy to know that my first impression of these guys was the right one!

Hey Rob,
I'm from Birmingham Alabama, as you can tell from my Y pipe posts I am a bleeding heart liberal who supports government sanctioned assasinations but not carpet bombing or catalytic converter gov't mandates. I currently drive a 1990 Range Rover and but am looking for an older Disco with a diff lock - viscous coupling is a pain. I know Sean and Larry and Pat from the Solaros Rally and from riding Tellico last weekend with them and from buying their used parts. Since I'm new here I wont ask you who you are, I will just read your posts and see if you know what the hell you are talking about - which I'm sure you do or Kyle would have flamed you into enlightenment by now ;)

ok, you see my point though. you vouch for someone, but yet you aren't really established here yourself.
check out my posts.. they are mostly me having conversations with other posters and not adding content, i am a diehard lurker, i check in here every few hours. most of the time others can answer a question with better patience than i can. if i see something no one else has answered and i know.. then i chime in, otherwise i just play along at home or make fun on a private email list.
kyle is an asshole that has an over inflated ego from a bunch of newbies that suck his P.P. please dont inflate the ego anymore.

Hey Guys,
I just want to let everyone know what is going on publicly. We are in the process of moving and we will have our new numbers and address posted tonight. I am very sorry for any misunderstanding that we have had. I assure you that what needs to be done to correct these problems is being done as we speak. I want everyone to know that yes we have had alittle growing problems like anyone starting a new business, but we are working through them and are committed to keeping a good record in the Rover community.
Thank You,
Larry Harrell

I can vouch for Larry's post. I just got an email from him asking to take care of my deal. Thus they have been spared from my blacklist.
