These are the Rovers served in Royal Hong Kong Regiment until 1995. The regiment disbanded in late 1995. i miss them very much....

what's happening? are those pics of the fence up by the boarder in the new territories - or stone cutter's island? (or was that cutter's island?)
did you ever get to the military vehicle displays they had during the holidays accross from the old hilton hotel in central? (late 70's) i can remember landies and they had a ferret scout car one year. man was it ever fun back then!!
anyway - where do you go off roading there?

Steve,
That was the border between Hong Kong and China. the RHKR was responsible for patroling and maintaining the border between HK and China.
The RHKR was a reconnasissance regiment, therefore we had some scout armor trucks and lots of rovers.
I did not do any offroading in Hong Kong, those rovers didn't do any real offroading like you guys do (at least it did not while I was there. )
