So I was putting away the groceries last night, threw on the discoweb video for the unteenth time, watching brian mawl the stock tj ect ect

so my girlfriend comes in the kitchen, and stares at the TV for a minute, and says he isnt this in Utah? I said yeh, moab, pretty sweet huh?

she said, but that guys licence plate is from Maryland ( talking about Kyle)

I said yeh, they drive out there all together once a year and camp out, off road blah blah..

and she came back with,in teh most sincere, honest voice....

You mean they drive 2000 miles to drive over stuff?

I said yeh, pretty cool huh?

she came back with, why dont they just go in thier backyards and do that?

and I said, oh they do that too honey....

Thought you might enjoy that... We finished the movie, she realy enjoyed it

That's pretty funny, Josh.... We get the same comments from truckers over the CB, too

"Are you going on Safari or something??"

"No, we are going out to Utah to off road for a week"

"2000 miles just to climb a hill? You're crazy..."

:)

I got the recent AB deal and it had a report on Roverfest in VT. Told the wife, she thinks for a minute... when's that. "I don't know, august or something... (mumbling not wanting her to make fun of me for thinking its cool)" She says, "we should go next summer." I respond, "yeah I know!" Pretty cool. I'll maybe look at something closer to home but its cool she's down w/ the rover scene

My fiance wants nothing to do with off-roading.. Makes it good for me as she doesn't care if I go and I get NO NAGGING while I'm out... The only down side is that I never get any pictures of my truck just every one elses.

Thanks Heather.. Hell, if I could remember to fork my camera over to someone not driving I wouldn't have a problem either.. Damn, the mind really is the first thing to go when you get old. :)
