was watching "a bridge too far" on bravo last night and they had the new l/r commercials where the camera p.o.v. rotates on a 360 degree arch a few times -

almost enough to make you dizzy - almost. was like the effect used by U2 on their 'zooropa' video a few years back -

i liked them -

yeah they dont make me motion sick but they are Lame should be selling to farmers and stuff like they used too not pretty people in tuxcedos and pearls drinking champagne.....was in an old old rover dealership one of the first ones in NC and found a sales brochure and there were pictures of series plowing fields and stuff I was impressed at really how tuff those things were.they are geared like tractors. old rovers are awesome

That is because at that time they only appealed to farmers, as a replacement for the tractor that tehy could still take to the market.

I like the new Jeep commercial showing WWII era troops landing on a beach in their jeep, and the jeep transmutates into a Liberty. I wish Land Rover would show more of their heritage in similar commercials.

I wish the commercials would illustrate more off-road and/or dirt scenes. This is where Nissan's marketing department is doing well. The end of every LR commercial, they show some American being clean and glamourous at a fancy hotel or the fancy guy on the ferry, not actually using the vehicle as an Utility.

I guess I am not a fancy lad.

yeah. just make sure you are sober when watching the LR ones. they are cool and all (and give rob wood), but they have made me feel a little barfy at times.

way better than that incredibly stupid one of the yummy mummy and husband driving to some show and they stop to pick up some mangey dog. boo hoo. hell....if they were in parts of mexico they would never get there. just too many strays.

Oh yes, I completely forgot about the fancy couple picking up that damn dog on a rainy night. Remember the one about the pregnant lady having "courage" because she drove her Disco on a manicured beach? I needed professional help after viewing that.

Liked the new J**P Liberty commercial. Talked about it's 5k lb. towing capacity and why that was important because when you off road, you'll need to pull your friends inferior SUV out of the mud when he tries to follow you on the trails.

Don't like the truck, but like the commerical.

Yeah the dog was over kill..I liked the One about the land rover trek thing where it talks about this is a Rover sales rep we hire.then we try to et them to quit.....Rover commercials should be dirty...it would be hard to go from a ragged series plowing a field to a RR on rodeo drive..

Better not hit your Liberty bumper at 5 mph or your wallet's gonna take a huge hit, too!
