Going to be in Burlington this weekend (11/30-12/1) and was wondering if anyone was going to up for playing with their truck on Saturday morning/afternoon. Use to live up there, but not willing to venture off on my own. Anyone up for doing some trails within a reasonable distance let me know. Also.....I want to drive my truck home, so nothing where I am going to be leaving half my exhaust on the trail. Leaving Friday a.m.

Head over to 86 acres across from St. Mike's, in Winooski. It's "fairly" tame, and if you get stuck just run across the street to the college and get a kid to pull you out....

Should be good and muddy, very few if any rocks.

(woolen mills) you mean the area down along the river?? i use to mt. bike there. you can take trucks down there? i am thinking you are talking about the area across from the chapel before you get to the old military housing. hmmmmmmm. this may be an option. and i was considering taking the volvo GLT too!!!

Close, but farther up the river. I went to St. Mike's... I am indeed talking about the area across from the chapel. It's open during daylight hours so be careful of your time. I've gotten stuck in there many times after dark due to a closed gate.

The area isn't too challenging except that they have tons of mud, especially right now. Look for the trails that lead off of various parts of the corn fields. You can mountainbike back here too but it isn't as fun.

Again, if you get stuck, seriously run across the street to the school. Their are always a handful of kids with tricked out rigs there who would be pleased to help. Hell my roommmate in school had a suburban with 36" tires and a huge lift. That thing would cross the Winooski river when the water was low enough...
