Does anyone go by the book regarding tire pressure? It recommends 28lb front and 38lb rear.
I'm running 255/55/R18 Goodyear Wrangler HP 109H.
What is, if any advantage to the 10lb difference between front and rear?

i run about that with 235-85-16s. the higher psi in the back is due to the greater weight of the tail of the discos. also a lower pressure in front reduces the chance of 'bump steer' and makes for a smoother steering experience.

why the tail of the disco is heavier- i have no idea - there is nothing back there. also another mystery is why do they weigh so much in the first place - it's all aluminium and such.....

stange.

if you feel truely compelled to explore the unknown, or rather discover(y) the unknown - play with different pressures and see what happens. usually higher pressures with just give you a stiffer ride and poorer mpg. though a friend of mine has 42psi all round on his d2 and now gets 19mpg routinely....

i tried this on my d1 and the mpg went down! go figure.
