There was a tread under events about Disco owners being snotty and not waving to each other as they passed. I suggest putting a DiscoWeb sticker on your Disco. The left side mirror is a good spot where drivers towards you can see it and know you know what's up. I think the sticker will seperate the true Disco lovers from the average Yuppy that buys them.

Easy...I wear a suit and usually sunglasses. I am also usually on the phone. The great thing about this truck is that when Friday night comes around it does a Dr. Jeckyll, Mr. Hyde and is ready to head off the road. Sunday night I can clean it up, vacuum it out and take my clients to lunch on Monday.

This is the reason that I purchased a Rover. Complete freedom. This truck is truly at home taking clients out golfing or hunting.

I was joking about the whole finger thing, I do try to practice Land Rover courtesy, and when I see other Rover's on the road I'll try to get up near them, and give a nod or wave, just to see if they'll respond.

When I went to school all the girls where flat chested and homely looking.. This summer I was driving on a stretch of beach in the Outer Banks of NC, Oregon Inlet, I believe. I had a truck full of kids that really enjoyed the somewhat tame offroad experience. Then I saw a Disco 2 parked on the hard surf with the driver waving at me. Not just a salutory wave, but something more intense. I gunned it and bounced over the ruts to get to his location and rolled down the window to see what was so important. When I stopped alongside he said, "I was signalling you not to stop with all that weight, you'll get stuck." Thanks. I didn't get stuck. I did however yield the ruts to some Tahoes and Exploders that were spinning in vain.

I am not sure what all the uproar is about. Here in Arizona all disco drivers are one big happy family. In fact, on my way back from four wheeling in Quartsite a white DII tried to mate with my white DII. Seems like I couldn't get out of his way fast enough, something to do with the semi I was passing and the ford escape in front of me. JC where do you live that you see highschoolers waving at you? I'm in Highschool and I usually end up waving a soccer moms. Come to carmel Indiana you'll see defenders and girls just like that. I went t a private school my freshman year and there were 2 discos, 3 D-90's, a Series, a few new range rovers. And the chicks that drove the rangies weren't ugly. I'm in Charlotte, NC. It's just a few kids I see, a few Discos and some Classic Rangies. I wave to the soccer moms sometimes, more so to see their reaction. Defenders and girls eh? I may have to check this out. My buddy at UNCW knows some girls with D-90s and Discos, so I'm gonna make a trip down there when it warms back up.

I even gave a thumbs up to a D90 which was rigged for off-road, and the driver completely ignored me!

well while i was a student at Penn State my father was the Dean of the College of Arts and Architecture. let me tell ya that i worked that line for several years. "so you're getting a C in that sculpture class......uh....did ya ever see the movie Ghost?" "i can help with that.!!"
i think the research could go much further than that. in most schools there are different types of woman (and men kim and karen) that tend to hang out in 'certain' bars. i think it could become rather complex as to who and why they frequent a particular bar over another and does this help lead to their promiscuity and/or how much they have to drink to achieve a certain level of promiscuity.
i am willing to help for the sake of my mankind.

I wheel as much as I can, but it's usually kinda hard to find people who will go. I wheeled with the ONSRLS two weeks ago at Uwharrie, they were a fun group, theres also a club out of Charlotte, CORE I think, I've heard good things about them so I may check that out. Aside from Uwharrie I don't know of any trails that still exist in the area. There used to be a network of trails at the Meck-Union Co. line, but there are houses there now.
