I was going to post something about that. Looks cool tucked in there next to the spotless Nissans and Saturns.
(or whatever they are, didn't pay much attention)

Darn, I hate that I can't find my pics-
I was parked beside a very clean GS400 this summer, and the person left me a note that read-I parked beside you just so that I could see how clean my car was, and BTW, thats the way Range Rovers are supposed to look.
I never saw the car again after that, nor did I ever meet the person who left the post-it-note on my Rover. I moved to a spot in front of my building because I knew that I would be working waaaay past 6:00pm that day-It was the same day Frank Avent parked his muddy beast behind me.(now that was a site to see, the people who stand out front to smoke were complaing about how bad it looked, *HELLO, YOU ALL WERE SMOKING*
Frank, did you take any pictures? Just Kidding, why would you bother to do that-

Drive through a river fast for a while
That seems to work best. If you do it right you can get the mud off the bottom where it will cause rust but leave it on the top for the decorative look.

Make sure you really inspect the bottom(undercarriage) and everything under the Bonnet. If you check under the bonnet, be sure to remove any caked up mud from your hoses, and any that sits atop the various heatshields(around your starter, etc.) Mud will wear your various hoses out quicker than anything, so if you must ride with the mud trophy, make sure you engine bay is free of the caked up heavy mud...but I'm sure you knew this already.

Ron, what size tires and lift do you have on your DSII?
Just curious...
Thanks,

94 rover,
Thanks for the tips, I actually prefer it as clean as possible, when I was a mechanic, i hated being under 4X4 trucks and suv's that would drop sand and other road collections on me. As a courtesy to other mechanics, I make sure its as clean as possible. its bad enought to get a grain of sand in your eye, then mistakingly rub it with your greasy hands...
Dave
I have OME 781 and 761 springs with a 1 inch rockware spacer in the back. I may not be 100% correct with the numbers so you may want to check in with John Lee at EE. (thats where I got them from, good source for tell em what you want and they will figure it out for you) Tires are 265-75-16 Big O XT. combination looks pretty cool for a disco II
