did the XDs come with the manual tranny? there's one for sale that i'm looking at, but it's got 53,000 miles on it and he didn't list which tranny in the add. not sure i want to buy from a private owner either.

All the 97 XDs had a slushbox on them. In 96, the EcoChallenge XDs had auto boxes, but the TReK competition XDs (about 10 of them made) had 5 speeds in them.

Talking about Yellow Discos, every once and a while I come across an old lady driving a Yellow Disco XD with all the goodies. I saw her last night in NJ going to the George Washington Bridge and seen her in the mornings on the Harlem River Drive.

Why God oh why do you give an old lady an awesome looking truck to drive?????? {sobbing} Why couldn't it be me????
