On my willow green Disco 1, I need to replace the bonnet and rear door "Land Rover" and "Discovery V8i" decals. Both RN and AB carry them and the colors are mid-silver and grey. What the heck is the difference? The ones on my rig now look to be grey, but I don't really know for sure (faded). They blend into the paint now. Does anyone offer this in black?

Go with the mid-silver, or the grey, or you can even get the Black. They offer the decals in accordance to the model year. Sort of like an indicator to some as to what model your LandRover is. Choose the color that best suites you, if you aren't a car restorer, and you aren't trying to keep in original, then go for any color scheme you want. I personally like the mid-sliver for some odd reason on your color Land Rover, and the Black also looks good, but I like the Black best on the White and Silver Land Rovers-
Go to your Local Land Rover dealer and ask to hold up the different decals to your Rover to get a sure look.

go with the raised D2 decals- same size. they are better quality than the flat d1 decals.
i have epsom and did silver raised. though if i had to do it again - black would look very cool

ron-
i go then from the dealer - if you don;t have a connection there - then i'd go to rover connection.com - they seem to have pretty good prices.
tom-
to remove the old decals- use a hair drier to warm them up then peel off starting at a corner, then use mineral spirits on a clean cotton towel to remove the glue residue. don't let the glue sit for too long - otherwise it will turn to cement!!
